We are in essence conducting the very same background check you would conduct, however you have the opportunity to ensure you are reviewing an accurate resume. 

How do I use ResTrust to verify the candidate I am considering?

It's simple, fast and free. Simply look for the ResTrust Seal on your candidate's resume (or verification form) with its unique ID code. Log into the ResTrust site using your free ID and password, and then enter the candidate's ID code found within the ResTrust Seal. You will have immediate access to our verification form. Our verification form should match the individuals ResTrust certified resume.

What information is verified on the candidates resume?

ResTrust independently verifies past employment, education and specific credentials. It is the same information that you could verify at YOUR expense AFTER the search, interview and hiring process. Please note: Some applicants may elect to opt-out of having their most recent employment verified.

Do I need to register to use ResTrust?

Yes. ResTrust's registration is free, as is our entire service. Registration assists in providing security of the information we verify. Please note: Please review our privacy policy for information regarding protection of your information. ResTrust does not provide employer information to outside marketing firms for unsolicited marketing.

What is a candidate's unique ID?

The unique ID is the number that corresponds to a particular candidate's seal on a certified resume. You will use this ID to gain private access to the resume.

Do applicants know that I looked at their reports?

No, ResTrust does not notify a candidate that a particular company viewed his or her resume.

What information is contained in the verification form?

ResTrust verifies employment, education and professional credentials submitted by individuals for verification. For employment, ResTrust will attempt to verify start date, end date, and job title. For education, ResTrust will attempt to verify dates of attendance and degrees granted. For professional credentials and licenses, ResTrust will attempt to obtain the name of the credential or license, any identifying number, the name of the issuing agency, date obtained and periods of validity.

Please note: Consistent with industry standards, a one to three month window is provided for dates of employment, education, and credentials between what individual reports on his or her resume and what is received by ResTrust. How do you get the information?

ResTrust utilizes the services of a national background screening company. This is an independent, third party that specializes in contacting past employers, schools and licensing organizations to verify information on behalf of employers.

Are there any limitations on my use of the information?

Yes. Our services are governed by the Terms of Use available on our Web site, as well as all state and federal laws and regulations that are applicable to employment practices.

I am a recruiting or staffing firm. Can I use ResTrust?

Recruiting firms use ResTrust to pre-certify their candidates, gaining an advantage over the competition by providing their clients with verified resumes.
