INDIVIDUALS- POSTING A CERTIFIED RESUME

Q: How do I post a resume on ResTrust's Certified Resume Board?

A:
You can post a resume one of two ways.

  1. Option #1: You can post your resume when you create your account to have your resume certified by ResTrust. You will have the option as to which resume you want posted.
  2. Option #2: Once you set up an account with ResTrust you can return to the site to post a certified resume. The resume can be a ResTrust resume or a resume certified from another company. ResTrust has the right to decline the posting if the resume has not been certified from a known company.

Q: How will an employer contact if I choose to remain anonymous (i.e. many individuals do not want their current employer to know they are looking for other opportunities)?

A: Through our technology, the employer will use a Restrust contact form that generates an email to you (i.e. the employer has no knowledge of where / to whom this information is being sent). Once you receive the ResTrust employer inquiry via email you can elect to contact the employer back via the contact information that is contained in the form. These emails will be sent to you from jobopportunity@restrust.net. Please make sure that you white list this account so that your opportunities do not get lost through any spam filter. Please note: If you elect to respond to an email, this will be completed via your personal e-mail. Therefore, you will not be anonymous with that employer.

Q: What happens when I upload my Microsoft Word or PDF resume?

A: When you post a resume by uploading a word or pdf document (Option #1 from above), you'll also provide additional information, such as the resume title and target job information. This additional information will be combined with you word or pdf document and displayed on the View Resume page Displaying your resume, along with the other information you provided, makes it easier for employers to review all of your career-related information at a glance.

B: Once you set up a ResTrust account, you will have the ability to post a certified resume through the Certified Resume Board options. This will only be available to those people who have a certified resume through ResTrust or those that have been certified through another certification company. ResTrust reserves the right to decline any resume that does not meet ResTrust's standards.

Q: Who sees my resume when it is posted?

A: Unless you resume unavailable (i.e. Private), any employer may view your resume. We strongly recommend that you remove any contact information from your resumes. We provide you the option to upload a resume without your contact information.

Important Note: You may also consider removing the title of your current employer and replace it with a generic term (e.g. Accounting Firm, Manufacturing Company).

Q: How do I upload a new resume to the resume board?

A: First login into your account. Then upload your revised resume (ensure you have checked that you would like this resume posted). We will check to ensure the information we certified has not been changed on this new resume. Once that verification process is complete, we re-stamp the new resume, post it to the certified resume board and send you a copy. Currently there is no cost to do this.

Q: Can I block any companies from seeing my resume?

A: We do not block any companies. Unfortunately, there is no technology currently on the market that can 100% guarantee that an employer does not see your resume. The best advice we have is to remove the name of the company and replace it with a generic term (e.g. Accounting Firm, Manufacturing Company).
