What Is a Certified Resume?

A “certified” resume is one that contains information that an individual has authorized to be verified as factual. At ResTrust, we verify a client’s information relative to employment history, education and credentials (e.g. professional certifications, etc.). The end result of this process is a resume that has now had its contents officially certified as factual. Note that the certification process DOES NOT verify an individual’s credit history or involve the completion of a criminal background check.

At ResTrust, we’ve made the certification process easy! The individual elects which of their qualifications appearing on their resume verified as factual. ResTrust trained staff will research the information and once all of the data is verified as accurate and correct, the resume will be “stamped”. The official ResTrust stamp will be located at the top right-hand corner of the resume and contains a unique identification code. All the applicant needs to do is let us know which data to certify. That’s all there is to it!

At this point, an applicant can forward their ResTrust Certified resume on to any of the following with complete assurance that those who receive it will know that the information they are receiving is accurate and correct. From prospective employers to mortgage brokers… from rental management companies to online dating services and more… the applications are limitless.

Each individual or company that receives a ResTrust Certified resume now has the opportunity to visit www.restrust.net, register themselves as an “employer” and verify that the credentials that the applicant chose to have certified actually match the resume they now hold in their hands. The prospective employer, landlord, insurance underwriter, etc. actually view a completed and stamped verification form online.

All ResTrust certified resumes are accompanied by a verification form. The verification form simply extracts the items the individual elected to have certified and places those certified items into a convenient, easy to read document (click here to view a verification form ). At ResTrust, our verification form allows individuals to send various versions of their resumes to employers, etc. without having to be concerned about which version is posted on our website!

What is the Certified Resume Board?
